What Turn On Sound is
Turn On Sound combines practical browser tools, field guides, checklists, and product comparisons for musicians who want to make informed decisions without wading through vague growth promises or unexplained rankings.
What we cover
Our scope is intentionally narrow: online mastering, music release preparation, artist platforms, direct-to-fan relationships, promotion, creator commerce, and connected independent-artist workflows.
We publish field guides, free utilities, checklists, platform explainers, and comparisons organized around a job the artist needs to complete.
How we work
Time-sensitive platform facts are checked against first-party product or help documentation and given a verification date. Advice is separated from factual claims. We do not invent hands-on tests, customer experiences, ratings, or endorsements. When original audio or product tests are added, the method and source material will be described.
Why Turn On Sound exists
An artist can reach thousands of listeners and still have no durable way to contact one of them. They can also collect dozens of tools without creating a repeatable release process. We focus on the handoffs: mix to master, master to release, listener to supporter, and one campaign to the next.
